Welcome to Volunteer Services for ALL! – the web portal of the Coordination Hub for Inclusion and Diversity in Volunteer Services.
We ensure more inclusion and diversity in volunteer services, so that everyone can participate – irrespective of disabilities, migrant background, gender identity, qualifications, sexuality, ethnic or social background.
As the Coordination Hub for Inclusion and Diversity, we are a nationwide point of contact for specialists, volunteers and interested parties for questions and issues related to inclusion and diversity in volunteer services. We support professionals and organisations in making Youth Volunteer Services (FSJ, short for “Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr”, and FÖJ, short for “Freiwilliges Ökologisches Jahr”) and the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD, short for “Bundesfreiwilligendienst”) more inclusive and diverse. We also advise volunteers and interested parties on opportunities to participate in inclusive volunteer services and, if required, on applications for participation benefits for their voluntary service.
The Coordination Hub offers...
- advice on the participation of people with disabilities in volunteer services, including advice on applying for necessary participation and support benefits
- advice for volunteers and interested parties with disabilities on the opportunities for inclusive volunteer services
- advice for professionals and organisations on inclusion and diversity in volunteer services
- workshops and training
- monthly case discussions for professionals
- job aids and expert information for inclusive and diversity-sensitive work
We work to promote inclusion and diversity in volunteer services even more intensively through consultations and support, to develop the inclusion and diversity knowledge base in volunteer services, and to prepare job aids and materials so that they are useful for organisations and stakeholders in volunteer services.
If you’re unsure how to promote more inclusion and diversity in your volunteer organisation, simply ask us. We’re more than happy to advise you, connect you with people and services from our network, and provide you with expert information, educational opportunities and job aids.
